Everyone who stops by seems to love this idea, so I thought I would share with all of you. I quickly transformed our dining room light into a unique chandelier to match our Christmas theme and colors. This was super easy and uses materials you most likely already have around. I used Christmas tree ornaments, sewing thread, and ornament hooks.
Here is what I did: Strung the thread through the ornament and matched both sides of the thread to the length you want them to hang. Cut the thread and tie the thread together in a knot at the tip. Slide the thread onto one end of the ornaments hook and then bend the other end of the hook to fit over your lamp shade. I left about a 2 in. space between each one. Bam! Your done and have a cute addition for the season at no additional cost.
